About us
BPS was formed in 2008 when Stacy Brookman retired from the Sutter County Sheriff's Department. He had been with the department for 13 years and had gained experience through a variety of assignments including Rural Resident Deputy, K-9 Handler and Field Training Officer. During this time, he recieved several awards for his service, including Officer of the Year, the department's Life Saving Award and several awards from other agencies including the California Highway Patrol
BPS immediately acquired contracts with several entities such as Reclamation District 1000, Natomas Mutual Water District and SAFCA. These entities had been having major issues with crime and the efforts of BPS were felt nearly over night. Implementing knowledge and experience as a deputy to tailor services to be as effective as possible. Using mobile patrols, as a problem oriented policing strategy, places the majority of resources in the most crime laden areas.
Since that time, BPS has expanded and now cover nearly every aspect of security, including rural patrols, urban patrols, homeowners associations, corporate security, large scale events, personal protection, standing guards both armed and unarmed, area denial and everything in between.
Our officers are former military and law enforcement, or off duty military/law enforcement. Our Professionalism is much higher than most companies. The training of our officers is rigorous and state of the art. Our officers are also polite and courteous, performing to make friends, rather than the normal heavy handed approach, which creates conflict with the public
